This is a gorgeous modern house located just off the Sky Road out of Clifden on the tip of the Coolacloy Peninsula.  It’s a beautiful stone house on top of a hill looking out to sea over Kingstown Bay over coral beaches to Crow Island. To the east the Twelve Bens Mountain Range affords a picturesque backdrop.

There are three bedrooms on the ground floor.  One has a king bed, antique pine furniture, tapestry fabrics in gold and maroon, pine floors, excellent storage, TV, video.  Fabrics are a serene blue.  Views are of the sea.  The en suite tiled bathroom has a shower.

The grounds are beautiful.  The house is surrounded by sea-view gardens, one of which, on the southeast side of the house, is sheltered  - great for windier days.  Outside, near the main patio area, is an enclosed garden with swings, a sandbox and children’s climbing frame.

The Connemara is a wild and hauntingly beautiful area of Ireland.  There are breathtaking drives along the N59 up to Westport and down to Galway City.  Clifden, 5 miles from the property, is a terrific village, very happening.  It has shops, pubs and several superb restaurants.  A lovely coral beach is only 250 yards from the house, and a broad, sandy beach is only 1½ miles. The area offers sailing, horse riding, deep sea fishing and trips to the local Islands.  The surrounding mountains provide endless opportunities for hill walking and fishing in mountain lakes.

Kylemore Abbey is near the property.  There are many wonderful villages nearby including Oughterard and Westport.  Golf is everywhere!  Ballyconneely, an 18-hole golf course is 10 miles and nearby Ballinahinch Castle has woodland walks, elegant afternoon teas and shooting and game angling in season.
