This is a large,
sprawling 200-year-old farmhouse on
five acres in a quiet, rural location.
Enter into a vestibule that is painted a soft chartreuse. This
opens
into the long front hall that has pink walls, whie woodwork and the
original ceramic floor
tiles.

The
dining room, off this hallway, has red walls, a table to sit 12, an
Oriental rug over wood floors, a fireplace with an old pine mantle, an
antique dresser and large windows looking out onto the grounds.

The large living
room has deep green walls and white
woodwork, two
comfortable sofas, easy chairs, a round coffee table, a stone
fireplace,
wood floors, large windows overlooking the grounds.

The enormous
farmhouse kitchen has a large Aga stove
set into an
alcove, a Belfast sink, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher,
microwave. The center island has a granite work top and lots of
storage. A large
pine dresser holds dishes and pottery. An old pine dining table
seats 12. Walls are
painted terra
cotta. Floors are the original stone. The
walk-in utility room has a larder, washer and dryer
and a freezer. A door from the kitchen opens to the
outdoors and a brick patio with a round granite dining table and
benches and a
barbecue.

There’s
a small sitting room that has mustard walls, a Victorian fireplace, a
sofa, a TV, and Winnie the Pooh to keep a child company.
The games room has a pool table, table tennis and table football and a
TV and Nintendo. There are
two guest powder rooms on this level,
one at each end of the house.
Six bedrooms are upstairs.
One bedroom, painted light blue, has a brass standard double
bed, an antique wing chair, a
decorative Victorian fireplace, a pine
wardrobe, white window shutters. The hallway bathroom has a deep
tub, a shower, maps and charts on
the walls, a slanted ceiling.

The
pink
bedroom has twin beds that are pushed together. They have white
iron headboards. There is cream
and
red toile du jouy bed covers and
curtains. The room
has an antique dressing table and mirror, a built-in
wardrobe painted white, pine closets. |

A
double bedroom, painted a golden tan, has an iron and brass standard
double bed with a tree of life bedspread. There's a window
seatand a pine wardrobe. The large hallway bathroom has a claw
foot
tub in the middle of the room and a separate shower. There's a
deep window ledge, bright golden-yellow walls and a pine floor.
One bedroom has bunk beds. The walls are light yellow and there’s
a pine chest of drawers.

One
bedroom, painted blue, has twin beds that are pushed
together and have ribbon and flower patterned bed covers and brass and
wrought iron head and footboards. There’s
a pine dressing table and a pine wardrobe. |

There
are three TVs in the house, one with video, and a music
centre. The large lawn at the front of the house leads to
the hard tennis court. Children are warmly welcomed here.
Dogs are not accepted. This is a strict non-smoking property.
The property is perfectly located for visiting the many outstanding
gardens in Cornwall, including the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the
incredible Eden Project. It is ½ mile from Ladock, with
its
local pub and post office. The city of Truro, with a lovely
cathedral,
theatre and many varied restaurants, is seven miles. The Manor is
ideally located for exploring both the more rugged north coast and the
tranquil and picturesque south coast, with the nearest sandy beach a
mere 20 minute drive.
