8 5 bedrooms 2 bathrooms This early 18th century water mill lies hidden at the bottom of the property in a little valley. This is an historic building, carefully restored. It still has the original beams, bolting and cleaning machinery, shutes, hursts and traps. Outside is the gigantic mill and wheel. The millpond is a haven for wild life. |

Above this is the granary, reached by the original elm stairs, rather steep. One bedroom has a half-tester double bed, old pine furniture, beams. It’s a very nice room. There are two additional bedrooms, both singles, and a bathroom that are tucked in around the bolting machinery. |

Above
this floor is a gantry cat-walk. Light filters down through
successive
levels of glazed floor lights to the floors below.

The Grist Mill has its own drive and enclosed garden and the constant murmur of the Ewelme Brook swirling gently by the mill. You can order flowers and champagne on ice. Car service and airport transfer can be arranged as can laundry, babysitting and maid service. Make sure you reserve at least one dinner at The Cyder Mill, the owners’ on-site restaurant. The food is fabulous - you cannot do better anywhere in the Cotswolds. |

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE:
The
Grist Mill is not accessible to those with even mild mobility
limitations
due to the steep stairs and multiple levels. Summerfield House is
an excellent choice for anyone who wishes a one story
accommodation.
Woodwells, with its ground floor twin bedroom and bathroom with shower
is also an excellent choice for those who would find stairs a
difficulty.
Many of the two story cottages have stairways that are accessible for
travelers
who have minimum difficulty with stairs. Some cottages have
bathtubs
only which may be difficult, but others have shower stalls.
