hall.
It has two elegant sofas, a chaise longue and an arm chair all covered
in lush red upholstery. There is a large coffee table and a
Chinese wedding cabinet
that holds a DVD library. A gas fireplace has an ornate white
mantle.

Adjacent
to the drawing room, there is a
large, sunny recreation room that has large windows on every
wall. There a slate pool table and a powerful telescope so you
can see the Aran Islands and the surrounding countryside.

guest powder room and a utility room for the
washer and dryer are behind the kitchen and the dining area.. A side hallway has a modern-design open stairway, a bookcase holding many books about Ireland. The master bedroom is just off that hall. It has a leather king sleigh bed with luxurious bed covers, two bedside tables, a large mirror-fronted wardrobe. The tiled en suite bathroom has a large 2-person tiled shower and a modern sink that has a beautiful turquoise glass bowl for a basin. |

Another bedroom has mahogany twin sleigh beds with country-style coverlets. There is a walk-in closet in this room. The en suite tiled bathroom has a deep Jacuzzi tub with a hand-held shower that's set in a turquoise tile surround. This bathroom, too, has a modern sink with a turquoise glass bowl used as a basin. |  |

| Outside,
the wide wood deck has panoramic views of
the landscape and skycape that go to the horizon line with only white
Irish cottages and white clouds. There is a barbecue and casual
furniture for al fresco dining. The house, on 2.5 bucolic acres, is a perfect starting point for lovely walks. Doolin, famous for its traditional Irish music scene, is a bit over a mile from the house. Doolin has several good restaurants and three authentic pubs, all featuring traditional Irish music. This is where ferries cross to the Aran Islands - a fine day trip. |
