Cross a wide wood deck to
enter the front hall. French pippy oak floors extend the
length of the house. The kitchen
and dining area are at the left of the hallway. There is a
beautiful
ash table with 6 chairs. Windows face the front grounds -
woodland
and shrubs. The open kitchen has beautifully-crafted ash
cupboards,
a 6-burner electric stove with a stainless steel hood, black granite
and butcher block counter tops, a large refrigerator/freezer, a pine
dresser that holds beautiful dishes. This is a fab kitchen. The laundry room is right across from the front door. It has very nice cupboards, a washer and dryer, a larder and a black slate floor. |

| The
living room is luscious. It has three comfortable, soft brown
leather sofas, a
stylish coffee table, a tall fireplace with shelves at either side
that hold books and sculpture. The room's cathedral ceiling
creates
an airy and light ambiance as does the large window that faces the back
wooded area. A separate TV room has four comfortable wing chairs facing the open back of the living room fireplace. There is a TV and DVD player, music. This room opens to an office that will have a desk and chair and easy chair. |

The large master bedroom has a king bed, a wicker love seat at the foot of the bed, wall woodwork that hints at Tudor. There's a beautiful old dressing table and a walk-in clothes closet. Lovely curtains grace large arched windows that look onto the woods at the front of the house. The large en suite bathroom has travertine marble floors and walls, a long, deep tub and a separate modern shower stall. |

The
third bedroom, on the opposite side of the house, has twin sleigh
beds, a custom-made chest of drawers, a clothes closet, beautiful
curtains on windows that face the front of the property. This
bedroom uses the hall bathroom that is right across from the
bedroom.
It has a modern shower stall.

| Close to Sneem’s shops and pubs, the house is the perfect spot for exploring Kerry and Cork - if you can force yourself to leave the house! Nearby Kenmare is renowned for its excellent restaurants and shops and there are many art galleries in the area. Fishing, walking, hill climbing, cycling, horse riding and boating and, of course, golf are all readily accessible. Killarney Muckross Gardens, Illnacullin Garnish Island Gardens and Bantry House are approximately one hour by car. |  |

This
region has scenery that is difficult to equal. The mountains,
sea,
lakes and woodland can be seen in varying light and shades, whatever
the weather, and because its shore is washed by the Gulf Stream, this
region enjoys a mild climate all year. The house is next door to the other Sneem Modern House that is on our site. They are owned by the same family. We regret that this house is not suitable for children under 12. Animals are not allowed. This is a strict non-smoking property. While there is no telephone land line at the house, the owner will lend a mobile phone to you, if you need one. |

Electricity is included. Heating is extra, charged at cost by meter reading. Security deposit of €640 payable on arrival and returned within 10 days after departure. |
