| Accommodates
8 4 bedrooms 4 bathrooms The owner built this house so that her extended family could holiday together, but each family could have its own living space. Divided into two separate, but connected living areas, it's perfect for two families traveling together or for one larger group. Only the entire house is booked – you won't be sharing the house with strangers. |

Drive down a long drive to the cream-painted house. Enter through the blue front door to the entrance hall. You will note immediately the warmth and charm of the décor, the feel of the place. The hall has butter-cream walls, a wood floor, a settee covered in deep red velvet, a red chair, two windows, a beautiful sculptured light fixture. |

One side of the
house is to the right of the entry hall. Enter through a glass
door
into an internal hallway. A bathroom, on the left of the hall,
has a
tub with shower over tub, baby blue walls, a linoleum floor in a stone
pattern.

At the back of the house is the kitchen and the living/dining room. It is a bright, open space with butter cream walls, shiny wood floors, lots of light. The sitting area is simply and cheerfully decorated with two blue sofas, a beautiful stone fireplace, very nice art, a TV and DVD player. Sliding glass doors open onto the deck that extends the entire width of the house. Views are of the grounds and, beyond that, Kenmare Bay. |  |

The
dining table seats 8 comfortably. Since we took these photos, the
owner
has hung a beautiful beaded glass chandelier above the table.
The
kitchen area has a checked
tiled floor, ash cupboards, a stove top and oven, a
refrigerator/freezer,
dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and high-quality kitchen
equipment, dishes and glassware. A door opens onto the
deck that has a dining table and chairs and a barbecue.

A second bedroom has a queen bed and excellent storage. This bedroom uses the hallway bathroom pictured above. It has a long, deep tub and a hook-up shower. There has just been a third bedroom added to this side of the house. It has twin beds. We'lll have a photo here in the next few days. |

The sitting room has a golden-caramel sofa
that has a lush velvety throw over the back, a
stone wall with a fireplace, a TV and DVD, nice art and personal
treasures. The dining area has a table to seat 4. The table can be carried into the other side of the house if needed. The atmosphere is homey, light and warm. Magnificent views of Kenmare Bay are seen through the double glass doors that open onto the wide deck. |

Another
bedroom has a
standard double bed with a sparkly bedspread and tiny Chinese
lanterns lined up on the wood headboard, a purple wicker bedside
tables, a chest of drawers and a dusty rose carpet. A window looks
onto the driveway and a stream – you can hear the water in the
night. The adjacent bathroom has a shower, sea foam blue walls, black tile floors, a window. |

| There is another bedroom, recently added to the house, that shares the hall bathroom with the double bedroom pictured above. This bedroom is smaller and has twin beds with a small drsser between them and a built in wardrobe. It overlooks a grassy field that has lovely metal gates. It would be perfect for children, but two adulls would be happy here as well. |  |

There
are wide views over
Kenmare Bay and the Macgillycuddy Reeks. The house is two miles
from
the Kenmare High Street. It's a 15-minute walk along a country
road
to the water's edge - suitable for swimming. There is also a
little
beach at the pier, a 5-minute drive from the house. Daily seal watching boat
trips originate from that pier.

This
is an ideal location for touring the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and
Killarney National Park. Killarney is 20 miles / 32 km.
Shannon
Airport
is 120 miles / 192 km. Dublin is 200 miles / 320 km. Cork
City is 60 miles / 96 km. |
