is a brand new
and very friendly cottage built in traditional Irish style. It's
in a beautiful
setting just outside the
popular village of Kenmare. It has a straight-foward stucco and
stone
facade and a
door with a half-circle window.

The sitting room has two comfortable sofas, a coffee table, a very nice fireplace with a carved wood mantle, a bookcase with interesting books and games, a TV, DVD player, a wood floor and windows that look onto the grounds. A door opens onto the wood deck which has excellent views across Kenmare Bay and to the mountains beyond the water. |

The beautiful kitchen has custom-made wood cupboards, a tiled back splash,a Belfast sink, a large refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a gas hob,double ovens and a microwave. The washer/dryer is in a utility room that's across the hall. |

The
dining area is adjacent to the kitchen which makes it easy to serve
meals and clean up. Six can sit comfortably at the table. The conservatory is beyond the kitchen. It has very attractive contemporary furniture, a sofa, two easy chairs and an ottoman, all in warn beige. Huge windows let in the big sky and the landscape. A door opens onto a wood deck that looks onto the back grounds, the hills and Kenmare Bay. |

One bedroom has king-size oak bed, a tall oak wardrobe, a doulbe chest of drawers and bedside tables. Walls are beige. Windows look onto the front lawns. The en suite bathroom has a shower. |

| The second bedroom has a standard double bed with an oak headboard, an oak wardrobe and chest of drawers and bedside tables. Walls are light mocha. Windows look out onto the lawn. The private bathroom is across the hall. It has a tub with shower over tub. |

The third bedroom has twin beds, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, soft blue walls, views across the Bay and to the mountains. The en suite bathroom has a shower. |

Children
are warmly welcomed here. We regret that the house is not
suitable for pets.
The house sits on ½ acre, but the adjacent rural landscape gives a feeling of much space. The views over Kenmare Bay are breathtaking. Cattle and sheep graze in the rolling meadow across the road. The cottage is about ½ mile from the popular pub, the Sailor's Bar, and two minutes from the Gallarus Oratory, a famous ancient site. Kenmare is 4 miles from the cottage. |

Heating and electricity are included in the cost of the rental. A refundable security/damage deposit of €500 is payable on arrival. |
