The sitting room has two large, comfortable sofas upholstered in red fabric, a large, square coffee table, a tall stone fireplace, a TV and DVD player. It's comfortable and very nice. Small windows look onto the woods. This is homey, yet sophisticated.

The dining room area, between the sitting area and the kitchen, has a long pine table that seats 8 comfortably. From this area, a wide, iron spiral staircase goes upstairs to a balcony. From there, you go into an open hallway to the other bedrooms.

The kitchen, at the other end of this large space, is terrific, clearly a cook's kitchen. It has a big granite-topped island, a black Aga stove, a Belfast sink, wood butcher block counter tops, a multi-colored tile back splash, an antique pine dresser that holds dishes and pottery.

Beyond the kitchen, there is a large bedroom that has a king platform bed with lovely silk bed covers, an antique writing table and chair, a tall mirror, wood floor, two large windows that look onto the front lawn and the horses in their paddock. A glass door opens onto the front patio. The large en suite bathroom has a long, deep tub, a separate shower stall in its own little room, a clothes closet, a pedestal sink and an ornate dressing table.

Enter into a small hall. The small, open-plan kitchen is to the right of the hall. It has a small electric stove, an under-counter refrigerator and nice pine cupboards. This is a basic kitchen because most, if not all, meals will be taken with the entire party, but everything is excellent and attractive.

One bedroom is to the left of the front hall. It has a queen bed with white bed covers and a day bed that can be made up as a single bed. There is a small desk or dressing table, a built-in clothes closet. Modern art adds color to the room. A leaded glass door opens onto a small, private terrace that's surrounded with plants and flowers.

The en suite bathroom has a long deep tub with shower over tub, a pedestal sink and a black and white tile floor.

Beyond the kitchenette, another bedroom has a king bed with a deeply hued comfortor, a closet and chest of drawers, a desk and leather chair. This bedroom, too, has well-chosen art and a leaded glass door that opens onto a small, nice patio. The en suite bathroom is larger than the one in the first bedroom. It has a corner shower stall and a long, deep tub.

The en suite bathroom has a large shower stall, a long, deep tub and a pedestal sink. Doors open out onto a patio with stairs providing a private entrance. The fourth bedroom is up a few stairs and it's nearly identical to the third bedroom - the mirror image.
