Charles II Place House - Chelsea Large Vacation Rental

This is a fine house in a quiet,private gated enclave that is right off the Kings Road.

Step into a hallway that goes to the kitchen and dining area that are at the back of the house. The kitchen is very large, up-to-the-minute and very luxurious. It has an oven, cook top, a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher,a microwave and a washer/dryer. Counter tops and backsplash are granite; the floor is white marble. A window over the sink looks to the back garden and patio. French doors open onto the patio which has outdoor dining furniture.

The dining area has a glass-topped table to seat 6 comfortably. A TV area has a flat-screen TV and DVD player and two comfortable leather club chairs. A tall built-in cupboard holds a collection of Wedgewood and other beautiful pieces.

Back in the front hall, there is a guest powder room and stairs to the second and third floors.

The second floor has a large sitting room at the back of the house. It now has only two comfortable leather easy chairsand two sofas that face a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The sofas had not yet been delivered when we were there, but they have been since. We'll have a photo of that shortly (Lower photos below are latest). There is a decorative fireplace and a wall-to-wall built-in cabinet that holds books and a collection of blue and white china. French doors open onto a sunny balcony.

Also on this level, there is a large bedroom with twin beds that are placed across the room from each other, a desk and chair and a large closet. The large tiled en suite bathroom has a very big shower stall.

Up another level, one bedroom has a standard double bed and built-in closets with drawer space. The white-tiled en suite bathroom has a long, deep tub with shower over tub. The window looks out to the garden area.

The master bedroom has a queen bed. Additional furnishings have been added since our visit. There is a separate dressing room with closets and drawer space. The en suite bathroom has a long, deep tub with shower over tub.

This large, comfortable house is perfectly located for the boutiques, grocery stores, restaurants, bistros and pubs of the Kings Road and Sloane Square. The price includes gas and electricity, use of all machines in the property, TVs, DVD players. Fresh linen weekly, cleaning on your departure and a Greeter who will be at the property on arrival, and see you out on departure, are included in the rental price. A security deposit of £300 to £1000 is held by credit card until after departure.

Chelsea is symbolic of artistic and individual living. It's a fabulous location encompassed by The King's Road, Chelsea Bridge Road, the Chelsea Embankment (on the River Thames) and Beaufort Street. Visit St. Luke's Gardens, the local shops at Chelsea Green and the Chelsea Farmers' Market. Thomas Carlyle's house, a National Trust property, is here, as is the Chelsea Physic Garden. Minutes from Sloane Square, Knightsbridge and South Kensington, Chelsea is close to Hyde Park, the Victoria and Albert, Natural History and the Science Museums. There's easy access to the West End and the City by tube and bus. Tubes: South Kensington and Sloane Square.
