We admit that we were surprised by the high quality of this property. We had anticipated ordinary flats, but these two very attractive, modern buildings offer luxurious and stylish one, two and four bedroom apartments. The historic location, near the Oxford Canal, is convenient and quiet.

THE MEWS APARTMENTS
26 flats

This building is located in a quiet, little mews courtyard. There is a small, simple lobby with 24-hour reception.

The flats are spotless. All apartments have living/dining rooms, fully-fitted modern kitchens, and comfortable bedrooms, many en suite.

Colors are light; yellow, tan, cream, white. All flats have hotel-quality linens, fine bone china, excellent furniture with choice fabrics.

Each apartment has satellite TV, radio and CD player, high speed broadband Internet access (Wireless or cable connection). Printing, fax and photocopying facilities are available on request.

THE CANAL APARTMENTS
8 flats

This small building is just around the corner and has the same high quality flats as the mews. It's front entrance is on the canal but there is a large lawn and gardens in the back of the building and a deck with outdoor furniture. Great for dining al fresco.

The two ground-floor flats are designed and fully equipped for universal access. They are the same quality as the other flats, but have everything a person with limited mobility could need. We applaud these owners for the care and attention they have lavished on these flats.

As the parking for the canal building is at the mews, the porter will escort you to the canal apartments if you ask for this assistance. Both buildings have daily maid service and porterage and secure private car park at the mews.

Oxford teems with energy. One of the world's great seats of learning, Oxford University is the cultural center of the city. University buildings are throughout the city and everywhere is crowded with students on foot, on bicycles and in cars. Traffic is a nightmare, but, as long as you know where you are going, the city is small enough that you won't stray too far from your destination. The architecture is beautiful and varied, the shops appeal to all ages, the restaurants are world-class. This is a splendid city in which to stay a while and experience the rarefied atmosphere.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE:

The Canal Apartments have two ground-floor flats that have universal access. A ramp to the garden deck allows wheelchair access to both of these flats via the garden gate. There is a lift in both buildings.m

2008 PRICES Three night minimum stay. Prices are per apartment, not per person. Price includes VAT, a UK morning paper on request and 1 secure, private parking space.
